PVC-U reinforced pipe is a novel pipe with smooth inner wall and vertical reinforcement on the outer wall processed and produced by hard polyvinyl chloride as the main raw material. UPVC stiffened pipe is a new type of UPVC pipe with vertical reinforcement on the outer wall by extruder extruded at one time, with reasonable structure and high strength.
Compared with traditional drainage and sewage pipes, PVC-U reinforced pipes have the following characteristics:
(1) The reinforced pipe is a flexible pipe, allowing large axial bending, the elastic rubber ring connection method has good leakage resistance, and there will be no leakage when the ground foundation is unevenly settled, and it has quite good adaptability to soft soil foundation.
(2) The ring stiffness of the reinforced pipe is high, the lateral strength is large, the toughness is good, and it can withstand large buried soil load and other pressures on the road surface.
(3) The reinforced pipe is light in weight, easy to transport, handle, load and unload, which brings great convenience to the construction, reduces the labor intensity of the construction personnel, and does not use mechanical lifting operations, improves the construction efficiency and reduces the construction cost.
(4) The inner wall of the reinforced pipe is smooth, and the Manning friction coefficient is 0.009, which can increase the flow rate of the reinforced pipe by about 40% compared with the concrete pipe of the same caliber (Manning friction coefficient is 0.013). At the same time, the smooth inner wall of the pipe is not easy to cause blockage, which can correspondingly reduce the number of sets of wells for inspection and maintenance, and reduce the project cost.
(5) The stiffened pipe connection and installation are convenient, even if the large-diameter reinforced pipe, it only takes a few minutes for 2~3 skilled workers to complete an interface. The reinforcement pipe has low requirements for the foundation and backfill materials, but the backfill material with good material can greatly improve the bearing capacity of the pipe.
(6) The reinforced pipe has good corrosion resistance and is not subject to the erosion of the surrounding soil, water quality and general conveying medium to the pipe. The stiffener can also be embedded in the surrounding backfill material, sharing the elastic effect of ambient temperature changes on the pipe, so that the normal service life of the stiffened pipe can reach more than 50 years.
