Product Introduction

A bent-type steel-plastic transition joint is an L-shaped, one-piece pipeline fitting engineered for directional changes in pipeline systems. It features a smooth, black anti-corrosion epoxy coating over its entire steel body, with a precisely curved section to accommodate angular routing. One end is a polyethylene plastic connection, often black with yellow tracer lines, designed for thermal fusion to PE gas or water pipes. The opposite end is a bare steel interface  for mechanical attachment to steel pipelines, valves, or meters. A reinforced transition zone integrates the plastic and steel sections, and a printed label with model, pressure rating, and QR code is affixed to the curved surface for traceability and compliance verification.

This fitting serves two critical roles: establishing a reliable, pressure-tight connection between flexible PE plastic pipes and rigid steel pipelines, while also providing a 90° directional change in the pipeline layout. It solves the technical challenge of connecting dissimilar materials at corners, where straight joints cannot be used. The PE end is thermally fused to create a seamless, leak-proof bond with PE pipes, while the steel end is secured via threading, welding, or flanging to ensure structural stability. Additionally, it provides electrical isolation between steel and plastic components, preventing galvanic corrosion and accommodating ground settlement or pipeline vibration without compromising integrity.
