The inner wall of PE water supply pipes is smooth, with low frictional resistance, energy saving, and pressure loss is about 30% less than that of steel pipes. Smaller diameters than steel pipes can be selected. It has good hygiene performance, no additives, and no possibility of polluting drinking water. According to ISO standards, polyethylene material is classified as grade 0 (lower grade), and it is a mold-free material. Compared with some other commonly used plastic materials, polyethylene has much higher resistance to mold and does not accumulate scale even after long-term use.
PE pipes are suitable for general pressure water transportation and drinking water delivery with a temperature not exceeding 40ºC and a nominal pressure below 1.6MPA. The main ones include municipal underground water supply, building water supply (drainage), farmland irrigation, water conservancy projects, etc.
PE water supply pipes can adapt well to low-temperature environments. Their low-temperature brittleness point is as low as -70 degrees Celsius. Therefore, even in relatively harsh environments, they can effectively resist the impact of low temperatures.
