Product Description
Glass Fiber Reinforced Plastic Sand Pipe
Lining layer: food-grade resin, smooth and corrosion-resistant to ensure the purity of the conveying medium.
Reinforcement layer: glass fiber interwoven with resin to provide high strength and resistance to deformation.
Sandwich layer: quartz sand mixed with resin to enhance the ring stiffness and resistance to external pressure.
External protection layer: UV resistant additives are added to resist environmental aging.
The product diameter range is DN100-DN4000, pressure level 0.25MPa-2.5MPa, ring stiffness can be more than 12.5kN/m², the length is usually 6m or 12m.

Features:
1. Excellent Chemical Corrosion Resistance
Resistant to acids, alkalis, and salt solutions with pH 2-12 (e.g., sulfuric acid, sodium hydroxide, seawater), preventing leakage in chemical and industrial wastewater systems.
Example: In black liquor pipelines at paper mills, GRP pipes resist strong alkali corrosion without additional treatment, extending service life significantly compared to steel pipes.
2. Strong Soil Corrosion Resistance
No need for external anti-corrosion coating. GRP pipes perform well in high-salt, humid, and chemically active soils such as coastal mudflats and industrial zones, reducing the risk of underground corrosion.
Example: A seawater pipeline in a harbor project showed no visible corrosion after 20 years of service.
3. High Ring Stiffness and Load Resistance
Quartz sand in the core layer ensures uniform strength, with ring stiffness up to 12.5 kN/m². Suitable for burial depths of 5-10 meters and resistant to heavy surface loads.
Compared to concrete pipes, GRP pipes are more resistant to damage from ground settlement.
4. Flexibility and Impact Resistance
The fiberglass reinforcement provides flexibility to withstand ground settlement angles up to 15° and mechanical impacts during transport and installation, minimizing damage risk.
5. Lightweight and Efficient Installation
only 1/4 the weight of concrete and 1/5 that of steel pipes. Easy to handle and install; large-diameter pipes can be quickly lifted by crane.
Example: In a water conservancy project, installation efficiency of DN1200 GRP pipes was three times higher than concrete pipes, reducing construction time by 40%.
6. Versatile Connection Methods
Socket joints with rubber rings enable fast, sealed installation-ideal for buried pipelines and emergency repairs. Flange joints provide precise alignment with equipment.
