Curvature of wall tiles is a normal phenomenon, but the deviation should not exceed ±0.2%. For example, for 800x800mm tiles, the normal curvature deviation is ±0.2% x 800 = ±1.6mm. If the curvature exceeds this standard, the product is considered defective and can be returned or exchanged with the supplier.
Two. What to do if the ceramic tiles on the interior wall are curved or deformed?
If the pre-installed interior wall tiles exhibit warping or deformation, it is possible to treat them with joint filler or use a cutting machine to remove and replace the warped tiles with new, compliant interior wall tiles. If the deformation is severe or the area of warped interior wall tiles is extensive, it is recommended to re-install the tiles.
Three. How to prevent internal wall brick from bending and deformation.
1、Appropriately use the adhesive.
2、Leave adequate gaps during installation. The size of the gap should correspond to the size of the bricks being used. When installing tiles, the gap between the tiles on the wall should be 1-2mm. For smaller-sized bricks, larger gaps may be required for aesthetic purposes.
3. After installing interior wall tiles, it is still necessary to ensure proper ventilation, especially in ground-floor and east-facing rooms. National and industry standards require that if the air humidity reaches 70% or higher, dehumidification measures must be taken to prevent moisture from damaging the substrate.
4、According to national standards, after installation, the substrate must be inspected within three days. It is recommended that the owner keep a sealed sample of the original tiles for later reference. This allows for clarification of whether the issue is due to the quality of the tiles themselves or the installation quality. This also facilitates our after-sales service.
