I.Mosaic tilesDo you need to fill the joint?
Mosaic tiles should be jointed. Due to the small size and numerous grout lines of mosaic tiles, using pre-packaged grout can be very time-consuming. Therefore, grout applicators recommend filling the joints with ready-mixed putty paste, which can be evenly applied using a rubber spatula in the appropriate ratio. When jointing, use a dedicated mosaic adhesive and a dedicated mosaic jointing agent.
Two. How to fill the joints with mosaic tiles
1、Mixing and stirring of materials
The user must mix the components according to the following ratio: 1 part hardener, 1 part epoxy resin, and 2 parts crystal sand, before applying the joint compound.

2、After mixing, use it immediately and apply it evenly.
The mixed material should be used immediately, as it will solidify if left for too long. Use a trowel to apply the material to the mosaic surface, and also to fill the gaps between the tiles, ensuring that the surface is as full as possible. During application, the trowel should be moved in a diagonal or circular pattern across the mosaic surface.
3. Apply evenly to ensure the material is thoroughly distributed in the gaps.
- Do not cover large areas during each application to ensure that the material is evenly applied to every joint.- The remaining material on the mosaic tile surface can be evenly spread using a rubber scraper to fill the gaps.
4. Use a small sponge to wipe, and apply gentle pressure during cleaning.
After completing the joint filling work, use a sponge soaked in clean water to perform the initial cleaning. Gently wipe the mosaic tiles in a circular motion, avoiding prolonged contact to prevent the filling material from being dislodged. Rinse the sponge with clean water and keep it only slightly damp; excessive water should be avoided. A single wiping is sufficient.
