Stainless steel cabinets manufactured by different materials and manufacturers have varying lifespans. Furthermore, differences in usage habits and hygiene practices among users can also affect the lifespan of stainless steel cabinets.
Under normal manufacturing and usage conditions, 202-grade stainless steel can be used to create kitchen cabinets that will last for approximately 20 years. 304 stainless steel, theoretically, will not rust, so it can generally be used for over 30 years. If properly maintained, stainless steel kitchen cabinets can last a lifetime without issues.
II. Stainless Steel Cabinet Maintenance Methods
1. Avoid using hot pans or pots directly in contact with the cabinets. It is best to place them on a stovetop.
2. Avoid using sharp objects to strike the surface, such as doors, to prevent scratches.
3. Avoid placing dyes or hair coloring products directly on the countertop, as these chemicals can corrode many countertop materials.
4、For stainless steel surfaces with dust or easily removable dirt, use soap, a mild detergent, or warm water for cleaning.
5. Remove grease, oil, and lubricating oil from stainless steel surfaces with a cloth. Subsequent cleaning should be performed using a neutral detergent, ammonia solution, or a specialized cleaner.
6. Immediately flush with water to remove any residual bleaching agents and acids. Then, soak in a solution of ammonia or a neutral carbon soda solution, and wash with a mild detergent or warm water.
