Syensqo has launched Ryton®PPS XE-5000NA. This is the first grade of its innovative, extrudable polyphenylene sulfide (PPS) technology, designed to revolutionize the performance and sustainability of pipe materials.

Suitable for pipelines operating at high temperatures

Ryton©PPS XE-5000 provides a safe and proven solution for pipelines operating in high-temperature and high-pressure environments. Its excellent chemical resistance and impermeability make it a cost-effective option for both traditional and emerging energy applications.

"There is an increasing demand for new pipe material solutions that can surpass the chemical, thermal, and pressure resistance of traditional polyethylene or polyamide resins, while also maintaining their processability and efficiency. In addition to meeting these requirements, our advanced Ryton®PPS XE-5000 technology also provides high-performance, extrudable thermoplastic compounds with superior impermeability compared to conventional pipe materials, completely transforming the approach to pipeline solutions in the energy industry, "said William Sattich, Chief Scientist of PPS at Syensqo.

"The global marketing manager for PPS XE, Mike O'Brien, added: "The new PPS XE product will enhance the performance of Ryton®"This traditional approach has evolved into high-performance non-metallic pipe solutions, meeting the needs of key markets such as oil and gas and next-generation energy applications."

Ryton PPS XE-5000NA exhibits excellent extrusion properties and is ideal for use in linings, independent, and composite pipes. This new material is now available worldwide.
