Kodetec Medical Group is a manufacturer of medical and pharmaceutical equipment, components, and tubing, and has launched HelixFlex™, a high-purity thermoplastic elastomer (TPE) tubing specifically designed for pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical applications. This product expansion broadens Kodetec's product range, adding silicone tubing and fluid transfer products for bioprocessing, pharmaceutical and vaccine manufacturing, filling and sampling, peristaltic pumps, and laboratory and medical device applications.
TPE pipes are an ideal choice for pharmaceutical bioprocessing applications because they can be welded to existing piping systems and heat-sealed, allowing for easy, quick, and safe handling, transportation, and transfer of fluids during bioprocessing. KODAK's TPE pipe materials also offer a variety of sterilization options, including high-pressure sterilization, gamma irradiation, X-ray, and electron beam. Furthermore, TPE pipes are a more environmentally friendly option than silicone, as they can be recycled.
