XHHW is a flame-retardant polyolefin insulated power cable that complies with UL standards and is widely used in the field of power transmission. Its insulating material is cross-linked polyethylene (XLPE), which possesses the properties of wear resistance, moisture resistance, heat resistance and resistance to sunlight.

This cable is suitable for both dry and humid environments. Its rated voltage is 600V and the maximum operating temperature of the conductor does not exceed 90°C.

application fields:

The XHHW cable is suitable for medium and low voltage power systems (up to 35 kilovolts and below), and is commonly used in power transmission for high-rise buildings, subway stations, nuclear power plants, and large commercial facilities. It is also widely applied in new energy fields such as photovoltaic power stations, wind power storage systems, etc. In commercial and industrial environments, it is often used in power supply, control, signal, communication, and lighting circuits. It can be installed in both dry and humid environments and can be laid using cable trays, conduits, pipes, or buried in protective pipes. Cables marked with SUN RES or belonging to the TC-ER model are also suitable for outdoor exposed installation.

XHHW uses cross-linked polyethylene as the insulating material. Compared with ordinary thermoplastic materials, it is more stable at high temperatures and is less likely to soften or deform. Even if it is continuously energized for a long time and the environmental temperature is high, the insulation performance of this type of wire is not prone to deterioration. Moreover, its service life is longer, and it is particularly suitable for systems that require long-term operation.

Temperature and voltage ratings
XHHW is typically used in 600V power distribution applications, which is a common voltage in building power systems. It can operate normally at high temperatures, which is very important for your distribution cabinets, centralized piping installation areas, and areas with dense cables.

Water resistance and chemical corrosion resistance
XHHW can be used in humid environments, such as underground pipelines, equipment rooms, and areas near exterior walls. It has excellent insulation properties, is resistant to water vapor, oil stains, and certain common chemicals, and is not easily affected by environmental changes. Many projects prefer to use ultra-high thermal conductivity silicate cement (XHHW) in humid areas.

Flame retardant
In terms of safety, XHHW has basic flame retardant properties. Even in abnormal situations, it is not prone to burning and helps to reduce the risk of fire spread.
