Antique bricks require waxing. The polished surface of antique bricks is prone to revealing pores, and dust, oil, and other contaminants can easily penetrate. Applying a protective wax coating can enhance the water resistance and stain resistance of the antique bricks, while also improving their surface brightness.

Regularly applying wax to antique bricks can enhance their decorative effect and extend their lifespan. It is recommended to apply wax every 2 to 3 months.

Two. How to apply wax to ancient-style bricks

1、Material Selection:The imitation antique brick waxes available on the market come in white, light yellow, and brown yellow, among other colors. Users can choose the color that best matches their existing imitation antique bricks, or they can cut and remove the wicks from leftover candles, add an equal amount of pine oil, and heat it over steam to melt the wax, stirring it into a shoe polish-like consistency. This can be used as imitation antique brick wax, but it needs to be heated slightly when used.

2、Dust Removal:First, use a wire brush and a waxing brush to clean the faux brick surface, rubbing along the brick's texture in both directions with sufficient pressure to remove dirt, grime, and debris. Then, wipe the faux brick surface with a slightly damp mop.

3、Apply a protective coating:Apply wax every 1 to 2 months, with the amount decreasing progressively. Apply a slightly larger amount the first time. For every 30 square meters of surface, apply approximately 300 grams of imitation brick wax. Ensure even application and thorough penetration of the wax onto the imitation brick surface.

4、Gently wipe:After applying wax, allow the imitation brick to fully absorb it. once completely dry, use a clean, soft cloth to repeatedly wipe the imitation brick until it is smooth and glossy.
