One. Tips for selecting natural marble
1、Pay attention to the environmental properties of stone: In today's emphasis on green and environmentally friendly decoration, natural stone is increasingly less used in home renovation. A prominent issue is radiation contamination. Natural stone has varying degrees of radioactivity, which is particularly harmful to children, adolescents, and newly married couples. The radioactive substance in natural stone is radium. When selecting natural stone flooring, it is important to choose materials with low radiation contamination. This includes: 1) Avoiding red, dark red, and green stone, as these materials typically have significantly higher levels of radium; and 2) Ensuring that the stone undergoes radiation testing and meets the required standards before use.

2. Choose the appropriate color and pattern: once you have selected a pattern, request a small sample from the vendor. During delivery, compare the sample with the actual product to ensure minimal color difference and that the pattern is essentially the same or similar.
3. Pay attention to the reflectivity of the stone: The reflectivity of the facing stone should be 95% or higher. Consumers can refer to glass mirrors, which have a reflectivity of 100%. The reflectivity of first-grade stone flooring ranges from 75% to 95%.
4、Pay attention to the processing precision of stone flooring: Natural stone flooring is formed through mechanical sawing, planing, grinding, or cutting. Fine-processed stone flooring should be uniform and consistent in shape and size. This ensures the quality of the flooring installation. To prevent inconsistencies, consumers can place two pieces of stone flooring face down and check if the edges are consistent, the surface is smooth, and there are no defects such as peeling, detachment, or unevenness.
5、Assess the overall aesthetic of the marble: Natural marble possesses a level of overall aesthetic that ceramic tiles cannot replicate, as each piece has unique veining. This results in a different appearance when laid. High-quality marble tiles not only have a visually appealing surface, but also exhibit variations in their appearance. This allows for a visually cohesive and aesthetically pleasing floor covering, avoiding any repetitive patterns that could detract from the overall appearance. This is one of the main reasons why many people choose to use marble tiles for flooring.
Two. How to choose good and bad marble
1、Check if the product has quality certifications, quality inspection reports, and anti-counterfeiting labels.
2. Check for a strong chemical odor. Inferior materials may contain significant amounts of harmful substances such as formaldehyde and benzene, which can pose a serious health risk during production.
3. High-quality marble structures are dense and smooth to the touch, without any rough spots or unevenness. The color is pure and consistent. This indicates a high-quality marble with minimal radiation and very low impact on the human body.
4. Alternatively, burning can be used to identify the material. If the material produces a burnt odor after burning, it indicates that the marble is of poor quality.
