One, how to cut marble
Granite is a hard material, and requires specialized tools for cutting. Proper techniques must be followed to avoid damage. So, what tools can be used to cut granite? Options include handheld cutting machines, infrared bridge cutters, and acid etching cutters.
1、Operation method for handheld cutting machine: Place the marble on a flat surface, avoiding direct contact with the ground. Use a ruler to measure and mark the cutting dimensions. Then, use the cutting machine to slowly cut along the marked lines. For improved efficiency, you can add a small amount of water to the cutting area using a bottle cap.
2、Operation methods for manual cutting machines and infrared bridge cutting machines: First, determine the cutting dimensions and place the marble on the worktable. Then, set the machine to the desired cutting depth.
3、Acid Etching Cutting Method: A rope soaked in acid is continuously moved along the cutting area to corrode the marble and achieve the cutting effect. This method has the lowest cost but also the lowest efficiency.
Two. important considerations for marble cutting
1、When cutting marble, it is best to add water. The purpose of adding water is twofold: firstly, to reduce dust generation, and secondly, to lower the temperature of the marble saw blade during cutting. This will extend the blade's lifespan and prevent it from warping due to excessive heat, thereby improving cutting precision.
2. Using a handheld diamond cutting disc, cut through the back of the marble from the visible surface. When viewed from the marble surface, the resulting hole should appear intact. Cutting the circular hole also uses a handheld diamond cutting disc to cut through the back of the ceramic tile, creating a cross-shaped cut. The circular hole can then be formed by hammering.
3. Install the cutting blade on the cutting machine, adjust the cutting depth, and place the marble on the work surface, determining the desired dimensions before cutting.
4. First, lay the marble flat and measure and mark the dimensions, then install the marble cutting blade and cut slowly from the marked line. If necessary, add water to a mineral water bottle to improve efficiency.
