1、Inspect bathroom cabinets
a、Flexibility Inspection: Perform a flexibility inspection on the bathroom cabinet. The distance between the door and the frame, as well as the drawer, should comply with the specified requirements, and the movement should be smooth and free of friction. The door panel should open and close smoothly.
b、Ensure a secure edge seal: The edge seal is crucial for protecting the bathroom cabinet. Check the cabinet and door edges for signs of bulging, tearing, or detachment.
c、Ensure tight contact: The space between the countertop and wall must be sealed to prevent water accumulation between the countertop and the wall.
2、Inspect the drain
Inspect the surface to ensure it meets the requirements. The water on the floor should flow towards the drain and should not remain.
3、Inspect the shower room
The shower enclosure must be assembled according to strict procedures. The finished shower enclosure should have a clean and bright appearance, with the door and sliding door perfectly aligned and perpendicular, allowing for smooth opening and closing of the sliding doors, with no gaps or leaks.
4、Inspect the wall-mounted basin or countertop basin
The lower part of the sink should be securely connected to the floor, and silicone sealant should be applied around the base during installation to prevent leaks. The sink itself should be securely mounted, and a wooden cabinet can be used underneath for support. For sinks without cabinets, a metal frame can be attached to the wall and used to support the sink basin, with a backsplash typically 8-12cm high. A 10-12cm backsplash should be installed on the outer side of the sink basin to cover the metal frame. After installation, silicone sealant should be applied around the wall and sink to prevent leaks.
5、Inspect the toilet seat
Inspect the distance between the toilet bowl and the wall to ensure it is appropriate. If the distance is too small, water will flow into the wall during use, affecting its performance. The toilet bowl must be securely fastened, and should not be fixed with wood screws. Some toilet bowls use rubber gaskets instead of sealant. After securely installing the gasket, seal the edges with silicone around the bowl. The position of the toilet bowl and water tank must be accurate. The allowable position error for a single unit is 10mm, and the verticality error should not exceed 10mm.
6、Inspect the bathtub.
The drain of the bathtub should ideally be directly connected to the overflow outlet, and should not be connected with a plastic hose. Also, it is not recommended to have a drain opening at the bottom of the tub. Acrylic bathtubs are susceptible to cracking and fine fissures, especially near the wall, due to factors such as weight and water movement over time. Therefore, the silicone sealant must be applied very carefully and tightly.
Two. important considerations for accepting customized products for the entire project.
1、Floor tiles and wall tiles: Primarily, we need to check for voids or air pockets between the floor tiles and wall tiles.
2、Bathtub and Sink: Check if the bathtub and sink are completely filled with water and observe if the water level decreases after one day. If the water level decreases, it indicates a leak. Drain all the water and check for any blockages in the drainpipe.
3. Flooring: The owner can pour a bucket of water onto the floor and observe the water flow. If water accumulates on the floor, it indicates a problem with the floor construction. All drains should be completely sealed, filled with water, and left for 24-48 hours to check for any water leakage in the bathroom.
4、Ventilation: The owner should check if ventilation openings have been left above the bathroom ceiling. If so, they should verify that the openings are suitable for installation and that they are free of construction debris.
