One. How to repair a toilet lid that is not closing properly.
1. First, check the toilet seat. If the upright toilet seat can be lowered and remain stable at any position, and if it lowers slowly and evenly, it indicates that the toilet seat is functioning correctly. If the toilet seat or seat cushion drops suddenly and quickly, it indicates that the damping system or slow-close mechanism is malfunctioning.

2. Next, press the locking pins on the inside of the toilet lid towards the outside, then lift the toilet lid upwards to easily remove it.
3. Then, use a six-sided wrench with a short end to insert it into one end of the pin and push inwards, causing the pin to come out. Finally, remove the remaining pin on the other side.
4、The two dampers removed are part of the toilet lid's damping and deceleration system. It typically consists of an inner and outer cylinder, with a viscous damping liquid sealed within. Failures are usually due to poor sealing, leading to leakage of the damping liquid, making repairs difficult and requiring replacement. After removing the dampers, measure the dimensions of each part and purchase replacement dampers of the same model, based on the structural form.
5. Following the reverse order of disassembly, install the hinges on the toilet lid. Then, align the two holes on the hinges with the two small posts on the toilet and press down to secure them. This is a very simple process.
6. After installation, check whether the toilet lid and toilet seat can be positioned at any desired location. If they can be positioned at any location, it indicates that the damping and slow-down system is functioning correctly.
II. Repairing loose toilet lids
1. First, thoroughly clean the toilet lid with a damp cloth to ensure proper hygiene.
2. Subsequently, carefully inspect the purchased screws to ensure they are complete. If any are missing, purchase them immediately.
3. Next, we will crouch down and locate the nut that secures the toilet lid. Manually unscrew it.
4、After tightening the nuts, gently remove the toilet lid. Remove the damaged screws and screw holes.
5. Install the screw holes for the new toilet seat cover, then align the toilet seat cover with the two screw holes on the toilet and install it.
6. Install the new matching screws and nuts in the area where the bolts were previously located, thus completing the repair of the loose toilet lid.
