I.FaucetHow to fix a leaking surface so that it no longer leaks?
1. First, identify and troubleshoot the cause of the water faucet leak. Most quick-open faucets typically last for one to two years, and the most common issue is wear and tear on the ceramic valve cartridge. Replacement is relatively inexpensive.
2. If the faucet continues to drip after closing the valve, this is usually due to the long-term wear and tear of the valve stem seal. Replacing the seal is the solution. You can use a wrench to remove and replace it. Alternatively, you can flip the two ceramic seals over to use them.

3. Sometimes, the problem is not the valve wearing out, but rather the valve itself becoming loose or displaced. In this case, simply re-installing and adjusting the valve should resolve the issue. Additionally, when removing the valve, it is recommended to apply a small amount of toothpaste between the two ceramic chips to prevent corrosion from the water pipes.
4. If the gap under the faucet is leaking: this indicates that the sealing gasket inside the cap has been worn or damaged. To fix this, remove the cap and replace the sealing gasket on the inside.
5. Water leakage at the connection of the pipe: This is usually caused by the loosening of the formwork screws. Tightening the formwork screws should resolve the issue.
Two. What to do if the faucet is constantly dripping?
There is a plastic gasket inside the faucet. If the faucet continuously leaks, it may be due to a damaged gasket. We need to purchase a new gasket and replace it. Of course, faucets come in different types, and the repair methods also vary. Here, we will illustrate with examples of faucets with left and right handles.
1. First, we prepare some tools, primarily including pliers and scrapers.
2. Remove the screw caps on the faucet and then use a screwdriver to disassemble.
3. Then, we removed the rotating handle on the faucet to expose the valve assembly.
4、We used a wrench to loosen the valve. Then we tightened the valve.
5. Remove the valve, and you will see its internal structure, which includes a red sealing ring. By adding a gasket to the sealing ring, you can achieve excellent results. If the gasket is not available, you can use a circular piece cut from the inner tube of the tire, according to the size of the sealing ring, as a gasket.
6. Then, reassemble and reinstall, and check for any remaining leaks.
