1、Clearing blockages
Before unclogging, purchase a plunger from a local market or supermarket. Place the plunger's rubber head against the toilet opening and forcefully push and pull up and down several times. This should clear the blockage.
2、Wire coat hanger unclogging method
If the putty powder cannot clear the blockage, you can use a wire coat hanger. Bend the wire coat hanger, then insert it into the pipe and use the wire to twist, push, and manipulate to clean the pipe.
3、Using baking soda and vinegar to unclog drains
If wire hangers are ineffective, you can pour baking soda and vinegar into the toilet. As you pour the vinegar, you will hear a hissing sound. When bubbles appear in the toilet, stop adding vinegar. Then, pour 3 to 4 liters of hot water into the toilet to help dissolve the baking soda and vinegar, effectively clearing the blockage.
4、Alkali-based clearing method
If baking soda and vinegar are ineffective, you can purchase sodium hydroxide from a store. Dissolve the sodium hydroxide in boiling water, then pour the solution into the toilet of the bathroom. After about 10-15 minutes, the toilet should be unclogged.
5、Drainage clearing agent
If alkaline solutions are ineffective, you can purchase drain-clearing agents from the market. Divide the agent into three portions and pour each portion into the toilet, with a 3-minute interval between each pour (approximately 50 grams per pour). After all portions have been added, wait for 3 minutes before flushing with hot water. Finally, wait another 10 minutes before flushing with clean water to complete the process.
6、Find a professional to handle the blockage.
If the drain cleaner doesn't work, it indicates a more serious problem, requiring a professional plumber to come and resolve it. While this option is more expensive, it provides a faster and more effective solution for overall bathroom and toilet blockage issues.
