One, what are the components of self-leveling agent?
The main components of the self-leveling grout include hardener, epoxy resin, and high-end pigments. The new self-leveling grout can be directly applied to tile joints without the need for filler, suitable for filling joints with a width of 2mm or more. II. Differences between the components of joint sealant
1、Single-component joint sealant
It is one of the earliest products to be launched in the market. Similar to silicone sealant, it is easy to apply and comes in a variety of colors. Due to its shrinkage and potential for collapse upon evaporation of moisture, it is recommended to apply a sealant or filler first, followed by joint sealant and surface finishing for a more economical application.
2、Two-component grout
It is an upgraded version of the single-component product, available in both oil-based and water-based formulations. Oil-based formulations are more prevalent in the market, with options available in dual-chamber and single-chamber packaging, as well as two-box sets (A and B). Single-chamber packaging is becoming increasingly popular due to its ease of use and allows for incremental application. The two-component oil-based grout offers excellent hardness and is also scrub-resistant and waterproof, outperforming single-component options. Its price point is reasonable and represents a promising future trend.
3、Self-leveling joint sealant
It is also a two-component system. It consists of epoxy resin liquid mixed with high-quality pigments in the specified ratio, allowing for custom color matching. It is particularly suitable for use with mosaic tiles and other decorative grouts.
