One, what material is tile adhesive made of?
1、Common tile adhesives contain cellulose ethers that provide water retention and thickening properties. These adhesives exhibit adhesion strength several times greater than cement mortar, enabling the effective bonding of large tiles and stone, and minimizing the risk of detachment.
2、The tile adhesive also contains latex powder that enhances the adhesion of the tile adhesive. Adding latex powder can significantly increase the flexibility of the tile adhesive and improve its stress resistance, enhancing its flexibility. For example, adding wood fibers can improve the crack resistance and open time of the mortar, while adding modified starch ethers can enhance the anti-slip properties of the mortar. Adding accelerating agents can increase the strength of the tile adhesive more quickly, and adding water-repellent agents can reduce water absorption and provide waterproofing.

Ceramic tile adhesive is a polymer-modified cement-based ceramic tile adhesive, which is divided into types 1 (general-purpose), 2 (enhanced), and 3 (for large-sized tiles or marble).
1st-Class Tile Adhesive
Suitable for bonding various types of floor tiles or small wall tiles to ordinary concrete surfaces.
2nd-grade tile adhesive
- Features strong bonding and anti-fall properties, suitable for adhering ceramic tiles and other substrates, such as wood panels or existing wall coverings, where high bonding strength is required.
3rd Grade Tile Adhesive
High bonding strength, enhanced flexibility, and resistance to stresses generated by expansion and contraction of the bonding layer. Suitable for adhering tiles to gypsum board, fiberboard, plywood, or existing tiled surfaces (tiles, mosaics, and quarry tiles), as well as for adhering large-sized stone slabs. Available in gray, as well as white, for use with light-colored or translucent marble, tiles, and other natural stones.
