How to use stone adhesive.
1、Surface Preparation: The bonding surface should be smooth, clean, dry, and free of dust, oil, and other contaminants.
2、Mixing: Mix the adhesive in a 2:1 weight ratio of A:B and apply it evenly to the stone surface using a mixing knife.
3. Curing: After normal-temperature curing for 24 hours, the material can be used for the next process. In cold weather, the coated boards can be placed in a 50-60°C environment for 1.5-2 hours to cure, which improves the aging resistance and bonding strength of the adhesive, and also enhances the brightness of the panel.
4. Alternatively, color pigments or dyes can be added to the A-type adhesive to match the color of the stone, with a pigment/dye addition ratio of approximately 1-2% of the adhesive volume.
Instructions for Use of Stone Adhesive
1、The water used for mixing with the adhesive must be clean water.
2. During the application of the adhesive, do not add any other materials or additives.
3. The prepared mixture should be used within two hours after mixing.
4、The bonding surface of the stone should not be treated with ordinary protective agents before bonding, as this may lead to detachment.
5. The construction temperature should not be lower than 5°C. In winter, the surface temperature can be slightly increased by applying heat.
6. When the stone surface has chemical residues or oil stains, it should be cleaned and kept dry.
7. Stone adhesive putty is ready-to-use and should be mixed in appropriate quantities. If the temperature is low, use a smaller amount to extend the setting time. Conversely, if the temperature is high, use a smaller amount to shorten the setting time.
8、Do not mix different adhesives. Do not return any leftover adhesive to its original packaging after mixing. Do not move the boards before the adhesive has fully cured.
9. If the liquid adhesive has a high viscosity in winter, it can be heated in a water bath at 40-50°C to reduce its viscosity. However, after heating, it must be cooled to below 40°C before adding the curing agent (B).
10、After applying the coating, excess adhesive is extruded. The unhardened adhesive can be used on other stone surfaces.
11. Due to the different physical and chemical properties of stone, it is recommended to test the product in advance to avoid mistakes. Do not mix different types of putty paste, and close the container tightly after use. Do not ingest.
12. When mixing, it is recommended to use the exact amount of ingredients needed. The putty paste must be mixed and used immediately, and should be completely used within the specified timeframe. The shorter the timeframe, the more ingredients are needed, or the higher the ambient temperature.
