Usage instructions for waterproof adhesive
1Mix
Pour the waterproof adhesive into a container. Then, gradually add the powder, while thoroughly mixing for 3-5 minutes until a smooth, homogeneous mixture without lumps or granules is formed. This mixture is ready for use. It is recommended to use a mixer.
2- Apply
Apply directly to the substrate using a brush or roller, ensuring even application and avoiding missed areas. Typically, two coats are required (depending on the application requirements), with each coat not exceeding 1mm in thickness. Apply the first coat after it has slightly dried (just enough to avoid sticking to the hand, typically with a 1-2 hour interval). Apply the second coat in a cross-hatching pattern, with a total thickness of 1-2mm. If the first coat has solidified, moisten it with water before applying the second coat.
3、Maintenance
Within 24 hours of application, it is recommended to cover the coating with a damp cloth or spray the coating with water to maintain its integrity.
4Check (submerged test)
After the waterproofing layer has dried in bathrooms, pools, and other areas, it is necessary to fill the area with water for 48 hours to facilitate checking the waterproofing work.
How to use waterproof glue
1- Spray application
Before use, thoroughly clean the substrate. For large cracks and holes, use a waterproof sealant to repair and level the surface. Mix nano-silicone waterproof adhesive with 6-8 times the amount of water until well combined. Apply directly to the dry substrate using a sprayer. With a dilution of 1 kg of adhesive per 6-8 times water, approximately 30-40 m2 can be coated per layer. Apply at least two coats. For a 1:2.5 standard mortar surface, two coats can penetrate approximately 0.5 mm deep. The effective lifespan can reach 3-5 years. Do not expose to rain or water within 24 hours after application. Stop construction at temperatures below 5°C. once dry at room temperature, it provides excellent waterproofing. Spray application is particularly suitable for repairing wall leaks. After drying, the film is colorless and transparent, which does not significantly affect the appearance of the building.
2、One-component spray application
Nanoparticle silicone waterproof adhesive can be applied directly. Due to its excellent flexibility and tensile strength, it is particularly suitable for areas prone to deformation, such as cracks, pipe openings, and downspouts. Apply in 2-3 coats, with a drying time between each coat. For corners, through-wall pipes, vents, and downspouts, glass fiber cloth can be added for reinforcement as needed.
3Two-component spray application method
When combined with ordinary silicate cement, nano-silicone waterproof adhesive can be used as a JS composite waterproof coating. It exhibits excellent waterproofing performance, strong adhesion, and good elasticity, while also being cost-effective. The mixing ratio for nano-silicone waterproof adhesive:cement is 1:1 to 2. If the mixture feels too thick, add water to dilute it accordingly. It is recommended to use mechanical mixing; if manual mixing is necessary, it must be thorough to avoid defects such as lumps and bubbles. The application should be done in 3-5 coats, with each coat drying completely before the next is applied. The ratio for the bottom coat should be: liquid:cement:water = 10:10:10, with a total liquid and powder volume of approximately 0.5 kg/㎡. The ratios for the lower, middle, and upper layers, by weight, should be: liquid:cement:water = 10:10～20:0～1, with a total liquid and powder volume of approximately 1 kg/㎡ per layer. When adding water within the specified range, reduce or eliminate water addition when working on slopes, ceilings, or walls, while adding more water when working on flat surfaces. The total liquid and powder volume per square meter should be 3-4 kg, with a coating thickness of 1.5-2 mm.
Instructions for use of waterproof adhesive
1、The surface of the bonding material must be clean, dry, smooth, and firm. Do not immerse the material to be bonded in water before application.
2、After 24 hours of bonding between tiles, mosaics, and concrete, apply mortar for joint filling.
3. Waterproof adhesive is not suitable for bonding materials with oily surfaces or those treated with detachment agents.
4. The construction temperature must be above 0°C.
5、The waterproof adhesive must be stored in a sealed container at 0°C or above. It has a shelf life of one year. If the product has not been used after one year, it should still be in good condition.
6. Avoid prolonged direct contact of waterproof adhesive with skin; if accidentally splashed in the eyes, seek immediate medical attention; keep away from children; during storage, ensure fire prevention, protection from sunlight and rain.
