The application range of elastic flooring is very wide, and it is used not only in various public spaces but also in residential areas. It can also be used in kitchens and bathrooms where other flooring materials may not be suitable. However, the installation of elastic flooring requires specific ground preparation. Here are the basic requirements for installing elastic flooring:
1、The substrate must be solid and have a substrate strength rating that meets the required standards.
2. The substrate flatness requirement should be controlled within ±2mm, as measured by a 2-meter straightedge.
3. The substrate should have low moisture content, with a maximum ground moisture content of 4% (as measured using a CCM instrument).
4. Maintain the ambient temperature between 15-35°C and humidity between 25%-75%.
5. The substrate must be clean and free of any oils or contaminants that could interfere with adhesion. It should also be free of cracks, voids, honeycomb, and other visible defects.
II. Suitable spaces for different types of elastic flooring
1、PVC elastic flooring is generally used in hospitals, office areas, homes, and sports fields, etc.
2、Linen elastic flooring is generally used in kindergartens and hospitals.
3、Softwood elastic flooring is generally used in meeting rooms, rooms, and libraries, etc.
4、Rubber elastic flooring is generally used in airports, hospitals, and other similar applications.
