1、If you need to drill holes, use a specialized drilling machine, which is commonly available in places that process or manufacture aluminum alloy components. These machines are often referred to as "table drills" and use diamond-tipped drill bits.
2. If a core is drilled, it can be cut using a cutting machine (also known as a "Yunshi machine"). However, it is essential to use cutting blades specifically designed for cutting tiles and metal.
3. The drilling process is relatively simple and has low drilling costs. It cannot be performed using a handheld drill because there is concrete in the middle of the floor, not solid steel plate.
4. It is recommended to drill holes along the edges of the floor instead of in the center, which will make it easier to replace the flooring or modify the wiring in the future.
II. How to drill holes in electrostatic flooring
Step 1: Mark the areas where the full steel anti-static floor needs to be perforated with a pen, ensuring proper leveling.
Step 2: When drilling through ceramic, first angle the drill to create a small indentation; otherwise, the smooth surface of the ceramic makes it difficult to fix. If the surface is not ceramic, you can directly create a small hole with a nail. For precise results, use a pre-drilled floor tile.
Step 3: When using a bottle opener to create holes, ensure the hole is level and filled with water beforehand. During drilling, simultaneously pour water onto both the drill bit and the point where it contacts the floor. This is especially important when working with ceramic materials.
Step 4: Clear any blocked drill holes. This ensures that the holes are properly created on the full-steel anti-static floor. Although this process seems straightforward, it's crucial to pay close attention during operation, as beginners are prone to damaging the floor.
