Plywood is divided into two types: broadleaf plywood and coniferous plywood. Broadleaf plywood is made by bonding together single boards cut from broadleaf trees (such as poplar, birch, willow, oak, ebony, and maple), while coniferous plywood is made by bonding together single boards cut from pine trees. The following example illustrates the use of plywood for constructing a wall:

1、The plywood partition wall uses wooden studs. During construction, first install the studs, and the spacing between the studs should be compatible with the panel specifications, typically 40-60cm. After forming the frame, attach the plywood to one or both sides of the studs, with a gap of 3-7mm between the panels. Cover the gaps with wooden battens.

2. Before installing the facing of the plywood, the substrate should be treated. When using felt or paper for moisture protection, it should be laid down smoothly, with tight joints, and free of wrinkles, cracks, and pores. In rooms with high humidity, plywood that has not been treated for waterproofing should not be used.

3. The bases of household appliances, etc., should be securely installed, and their surfaces should be level with the surface of the particleboard. The edges of door frames or panels should be flush with the surface of the particleboard and covered with a facing board.

4、The plywood overlay under the wall and column should be covered with skirting board, such as wood skirting board, the plywood overlay should be 20-30mm away from the ground; if using marble skirting board, the plywood overlay should be level with the top of the skirting board, and the joint should be tight.
