1、The installation of soft wood flooring should be carried out after the completion and acceptance of the following works: ground preparation, ceiling installation, wall installation, and electrical and plumbing works.
2. Ground Requirements: Clean (free of obvious construction debris, etc.), Dry (ground moisture should be less than 20%, no dampness or leakage), Smooth (ground flatness should be checked with a 2M gauge; the maximum distance between the gauge and the ground should be ≤3mm), and Solid (ground foundation strength and thickness should comply with the building acceptance regulations).
3、The continuous laying of lock-fitting soft wood flooring should not exceed 7-8 meters. For distances exceeding this, additional pressure strips must be used to create separation.
4、3mm moisture-proof underlayment with locking system, floor height 11mm, total 14mm. Customers should appropriately reserve space according to the contact portion between the soft wood flooring and other surfaces, especially at door frames, corners, radiators, and other irregular details.
II. Installation Process for Latch-Type Cork Flooring
1、Cut the bottom of the door to create a 10mm expansion joint along all the walls, ensuring that the flooring extends beyond the door frame.
2. Lay down moisture-proof film. The two layers of film should overlap by 20 cm, and should extend 5 cm beyond the walls.
3. To enhance thermal insulation and reduce noise, lay down a 2mm thick cork mat (recommended).
4、When installing flooring, lay it down along the direction of light entering through the windows.
5. Check if the wall is straight. Starting from the right-hand corner. The groove should extend towards the room. The remaining material from the first row can be used to start the next row.
6. If the wall surface is very uneven, you can draw a line on the floor to indicate the unevenness.
7. Ensure that the first three rows of the floor are level. Note: Use shims to create expansion joints.
8. If there are pipes running through the middle or back of the soft wood flooring, cutting may be required based on the specific situation.
