One、Why are there white liquid leaks from the exterior wall tiles?
After construction, the exterior wall bricks may release a white substance, which is typically caused by alkali leaching from the substrate due to rain or humidity. This manifests as white streaks in the joints of the exterior wall bricks.
Besides the effects of humidity, which can cause efflorescence and discoloration of exterior wall bricks, other causes include:- Substandard exterior wall brick installation- Inadequate waterproofing- Cleaning with acidic products after exterior wall brick installationThese factors can all lead to efflorescence on exterior wall bricks.
Two. How to handle white liquid appearing on exterior wall bricks.

once the exterior wall brick exhibits alkali efflorescence, it can be first cleaned with a 10% solution of citric acid, followed by rinsing with clean water after complete drying. Then, apply NC304S nano-curing agent or NC304W for waterproofing.
Please note that if exterior wall bricks exhibit alkali efflorescence, treating them only provides a temporary solution. The efflorescence will reappear after a period, so proactive prevention is crucial.
III. How to prevent alkali from appearing on the exterior wall brick
1、Ensure proper exterior wall drainage design.
If it is a rural self-built house, then when designing and building the house, first aDaughterwall should be built around the perimeter of the roof. The roof should be fully enclosed. Then, select installation points for drainage at the four corners of the roof and the approximate middle of the wall, and install drainage pipes at the bottom of the drainage points, fix the drainage pipes to the wall, and install them along the wall to the ground. This can ensure that the water on the roof does not flow down the outside wall, and can effectively prevent the outer wall brick from being affected by moisture and causing alkali corrosion.
2. The outer wall surface should be properly sealed.
The process of sealing the exterior wall surface involves ensuring that the exterior wall tiles are applied without leaving any gaps between the tiles and the wall substrate. Gaps between the tiles themselves should also be sealed. This prevents rainwater from entering the wall through these gaps. The gaps between exterior wall tiles can be sealed with joint sealant, or sealed with waterproof sealant.
