Two. Is it possible to install an air conditioning unit on a wall made of wood panels?
It is not recommended to install air conditioning units on wooden walls.
Wooden wall panels consist of two parts: a wooden frame and panel materials. Prior to installation, corrosion-resistant wood bricks or wooden wedges should be embedded or inserted into the wall every 500mm-1000mm to secure the studs. To prevent panel deformation, apply one or two coats of hot asphalt or modified asphalt to the wall, followed by a layer of asphalt felt. The studs are then nailed to the wood bricks or wedges, with a typical spacing of 450mm-600mm, depending on the panel specifications. The panel material is then nailed to the wooden frame, and the surface is painted. When installing wooden wall panels, pay close attention to the detailing of seams, top edges, and panel gaps.
Wooden panels mounted on walls that are not connected to the ground create an unstable surface. Installing air conditioning units on such surfaces can lead to detachment.
