1、Wall surface treatment
Use a scraper to remove wall debris and soil, and fill in cracks and holes with plaster powder, then smooth it out. If the wall surface is soft or has a layer of paint, apply a primer first to ensure a firm foundation, so that the metal wallpaper will not detach.
2、Cutting wallpaper
First, measure the wall height. Then, cut the metal wallpaper to the appropriate length. There are two scenarios:1. For non-patterned metal wallpaper, add 5 to 8 cm to the wall height to create a trimming for the top and bottom.2. For patterned metal wallpaper, consider the symmetry of the pattern. Therefore, the cutting length should be increased based on the actual situation, typically by 8 to 10 cm.
3、Apply the adhesive solution
Apply the wallpaper adhesive solution to the back of the cut metal wallpaper using a brush, paying particular attention to ensuring that the edges are fully coated to ensure good workmanship. After applying the adhesive, allow the wallpaper to sit for 5-10 minutes to allow the adhesive to fully penetrate the paper backing before pasting. Apply the adhesive to a few sheets of metal wallpaper at a time and paste them in the correct order.
4、Wallpaper Installation
Apply the first metal wallpaper from top to bottom along the door frame or corner. Use a scraper to gently smooth the metal wallpaper from top to bottom and from inside to outside, removing air bubbles and excess adhesive, ensuring the metal wallpaper is flat and firmly adhered to the wall.
5、Edge cleaning
Cut off excess wallpaper at both ends, ensuring the edges are clean and sharp to avoid frayed edges. Then, use a damp sponge to thoroughly wipe away any remaining adhesive from the metal wallpaper surface to prevent yellowing. After the wallpaper dries, if you notice any bubbles on the surface, carefully cut them open with a knife, inject adhesive, and then press flat to eliminate them.
II. important considerations during construction
1. Before construction, carefully check the color and batch number of the metal wallpaper to ensure consistency. Also, understand the type of wallpaper to be installed, and pay attention to the orientation of patterned wallpaper (installing with the pattern facing outwards) and plain wallpaper (installing in either direction).
2. The quality of the adhesive will directly affect the overall appearance and service life of the metal wallpaper, therefore, it is necessary to purchase genuine brand adhesives.
3、The concentration of the adhesive mixture should be determined by whether a chopstick can stand upright in the mixture.

5、After applying the metal wallpaper, close all doors and windows. Do not open the windows for 24 hours to allow the wallpaper to dry properly.
