One、Veneer Board
Plywood is a type of engineered wood product manufactured by bonding together thin strips of wood, or a honeycomb core, with multiple layers of plywood on both sides, then pressing and gluing them together.
Plywood offers excellent screw holding power, high strength, and features such as rigidity, sound absorption, and thermal insulation. Its low moisture content (10%-13%) makes it easy to process and widely used in furniture manufacturing, sewing machine tables, vehicle interiors, shipbuilding, and construction.
Two, Multi-layer Boards

The general method for fabricating multi-layer boards typically involves first creating the inner layer pattern, then producing a single-sided or double-sided substrate using printing and etching techniques, incorporating it into the specified interlayer materials, and finally, applying heat, pressure, and adhesive to bond everything together. Subsequent drilling is then performed in the same manner as for double-layer boards.
Multi-layer board structures offer excellent stability, with features such as resistance to deformation and high strength. Furthermore, multi-layer boards have exceptional compressive strength and high waterproofing ratings.
Multi-layer panels are a commonly used material in furniture manufacturing, and are a type of engineered wood.
Three, which is better, solid wood plywood or multi-layer plywood
1、Environmental performance
Multi-layer board: Although it does not match solid wood boards in terms of quality, it undergoes high-temperature and high-pressure processing, with PVC edging on all four sides. The formaldehyde emission level meets national standards (E1 grade).
Plywood: There are varying grades of plywood available on the market, with those that meet national standards having higher environmental ratings. When selecting plywood for home renovations, it is recommended to choose E1-grade products.
2、Practical Performance
Plywood: Composed of multiple layers of single-ply boards, resulting in improved structural stability and resistance to deformation. Additionally, plywood offers good water resistance and stability.
Plywood: High-quality hardwood plywood with smooth and even surfaces, resistant to warping and deformation, and characterized by high strength and low moisture content.
3、Price
Plywood: The strength and substrate of the plywood material are closely related. With each additional layer of plywood, its strength also increases, and the price also increases accordingly.
Plywood: Plywood of the same brand and thickness as solid wood multi-layer panels is generally less expensive.
