1、It is best to apply wax to the floor regularly, with a cycle of approximately every six months. If the cycle is too long, the original wax layer on the floor will be easily worn off, and the floor surface will be prone to scratches. Additionally, if the floor has high foot traffic, the waxing frequency can be reduced.
2. When applying wax, ensure the floor is clean. The floor should be thoroughly cleaned and kept free of dirt and debris. It is also essential that the floor is completely dry before waxing, as this ensures that the wax adheres properly. If the floor is not dry, the wax will not bond effectively.
3. First, thoroughly shake the wax to ensure even distribution. Then, perform a test application on a small area. If no issues arise, you can proceed with applying the wax to the entire floor. It is essential to apply the floor wax onto a clean cloth first, and then wipe the floor evenly with the wax-soaked cloth, ensuring that the entire floor is uniformly coated.
4. Before applying wax, it is essential not to use chemical cleaning agents or any cleaning products containing chemicals to wipe the floor. Otherwise, this can lead to poor adhesion of the wax.
5. It is not recommended to apply only one or two coats of wax to the floor, or to apply three coats of rubber floor wax, with a polishing step after the second coat. This ensures a smooth and glossy surface finish.
6. When waxing rubber flooring, it is best to do so on a sunny or clear day. If waxing is performed in rainy or excessively humid weather, it can easily cause a cloudy or milky appearance, and also affect the waxing results. If the room temperature is below 5 degrees Celsius, the floor wax will also become hard.
