I.Vinyl flooringWhich is better, wood flooring or concrete flooring?
Plastic and wood flooring are common flooring materials. However, both have their own advantages and disadvantages. When choosing, it's important to understand the quality and practicality of the products to ensure they meet your future needs. A comparison of the two can help you determine which is the best option for your specific situation.
Second, which is better: PVC flooring or wood flooring?

1、Wood flooring can be broadly divided into three main types: solid wood flooring, composite wood flooring, and engineered wood flooring.
① Solid wood flooring is a natural material with advantages that synthetic materials cannot match: it is non-toxic, odorless, provides a comfortable feel, and maintains a comfortable temperature year-round. However, it also has drawbacks such as high cost, depletion of hardwood resources, a large installation workload, difficulty in maintenance (susceptible to fire, water, and humidity), and significant dimensional changes with relative humidity variations.
② Engineered wood flooring has the same beautiful wood grain as solid wood flooring, with excellent dimensional stability and ease of installation and maintenance. However, it still cannot overcome the drawbacks of being susceptible to fire, water, and humidity, and it is also less environmentally friendly and less durable than PVC flooring.
③ The primary substrate for strengthening wood flooring is medium-density or high-density fiberboard, as well as particleboard, which offers good dimensional stability. The surface layer consists of impregnated decorative paper containing wear-resistant materials, ensuring excellent resistance to abrasion, cigarette burns, scratches, and contamination. This offers significantly better wear and stain resistance compared to PVC flooring, although it still lags behind in terms of durability.
2、Advantages and disadvantages of plastic flooring
① The wear-resistant layer on the surface of plastic flooring has special anti-slip properties, and compared to ordinary flooring materials, PVC flooring provides a more pronounced and less slippery feel when wet. Due to its excellent anti-slip properties, it is commonly used as a flooring material in public spaces such as airports, hospitals, and kindergartens, where high safety standards are required.
② Plastic flooring can achieve B1 fire rating, which is a standard for building materials. It will not burn and can prevent the spread of fire. High-quality PVC flooring produces minimal smoke when ignited, and the resulting fumes will not pose a health hazard or create toxic and harmful gases.
③ Synthetic flooring, primarily composed of plastics and calcium carbonate, features dimensional stability due to the glass fiber layer. This makes it naturally resistant to water. It will not be damaged or warped if not continuously submerged, nor will it be affected by high humidity or temperature fluctuations.
④ High-level construction requirements are necessary; susceptible to damage from cigarette burns; not made of natural materials; susceptible to damage from sharp objects.
