Two. How to apply imitation stone coating
1、How to prepare the wall substrate for applying imitation stone coatings: Use a 2m ruler to first inspect the surface, and mark any noticeable irregularities with a colored marker. For any voids or bubbles, apply a cement mortar to fill them. For minor imperfections, use putty powder to fill them. Use a grinder to smooth out any protruding areas and the repaired areas to a maximum thickness of 2mm. Use a brush and scraper to remove any loose debris from the wall surface. For large-scale wall repairs, it is necessary to pre-treat the wall into sections.
2、How to apply faux stone coating: Application of the base coat: The application method should be cross-rolling to ensure complete coverage and uniform coating. The coating application must be performed from top to bottom of the building. Each coat should be applied along natural divisions, such as the joints between light and dark surfaces, and around drainage pipes, with each application area completed as much as possible in one go. Any areas that do not meet the technical requirements must be repaired. The base coat must dry completely (approximately 12 hours) before proceeding with the next stage of work.
3. How to apply faux stone coating: Dividing, stringing, and applying putty powder. According to the drawing requirements, divide and string the substrate, and select the appropriate jointing strip based on the width and depth of the joints. Ensure accurate positioning and maintain a level and vertical alignment.
4、How to apply artificial stone coating: First, apply a base coat from top to bottom, then apply a layer of cement mortar, and maintain continuous curing while applying. After the first layer is applied to the bottom, lower the support structure and continue applying until the bottom is covered. Then, raise the support structure and apply the coating from top to bottom to ensure consistent color. Check the joint position to ensure it is accurate and the width and depth are appropriate.
5、How to install artificial stone coating: After spraying, promptly remove the dividing strips and clean the seams. Perform surface sanding and apply a topcoat.
