Four. How to determine if it is full-bodied porcelain tile.
1、Inspect
Upon visual inspection, if the cross-section clearly shows two distinct layers, it indicates that the material is not fully porcelain.
2、Listen
Use one hand to hold the edge or corner of the tile, allowing it to hang down easily. With the other hand, strike the center of the tile to produce a resonant, full-bodied sound, indicating that it is a full-bodied vitreous ceramic tile.
3、 Water resistance
Due to the low water absorption rate of full-bodied porcelain tiles, place the tiles upside down and apply water to the back surface. Observe the rate at which the water spreads and saturates the tile. Generally, a slower absorption rate indicates a genuine full-bodied porcelain tile.
