3. High alkalinity in the wall surface due to poor treatment of the substrate.
If the film or varnish is applied too thinly or unevenly, it cannot form a protective layer on the wall surface, preventing the outward leakage of alkaline substances from the wall. This can corrode the wall covering, causing discoloration.

If the discoloration is not severe, whether it is yellowing or darkening, it can be cleaned with a neutral detergent to see if the discoloration can be reversed.
