One. Anti-theft door lock installation method
1、According to the locking body installation dimensions shown in the diagram, drill and create the installation holes for the locking body.
2. Place the locking body into the corresponding hole, secure with fixing screws, install screws and connecting screws on the outer panel, insert the moving rod into the rod hole of the locking body, align the hand-operated hole of the outer panel with the moving rod hole, and install the outer panel.
3. Install interior panel components, aligning and tightening the screws; insert the latch body from the inside into the latch receiving hole; insert screws into the latch body mounting hole and tighten. Then, install the latch box or latch plate on the door frame.
4. After initial installation, rotate the external handle and internal handle to observe whether the tongue can be smoothly retracted and extended; rotate the rear panel knob to feel whether the tongue can be smoothly retracted and extended; insert the key and rotate it back and forth to feel whether the tongue can be smoothly extended and retracted.
5. After tightening all assembly screws, repeat the above steps several times. If any of the steps are not smooth, loosen the screws, adjust the position, and try again until the desired result is achieved.
Two. Are the installation dimensions for anti-theft door locks universally applicable?
It's not the same. Even with the same brand of anti-theft door, different models and specifications mean that the lock cylinder's size will vary. When installing a lock, it's essential to bring the old lock cylinder to the locksmith. Anti-theft locks can be classified based on the principle of the lock cylinder, such as: spring lock, leaf lock, magnetic lock, IC card lock, and fingerprint lock. Different manufacturers use different software, so the size and depth of the cutouts will naturally vary, resulting in a lower compatibility rate compared to traditional key locks. The most common type of composite lock found in the market is the combination of a spring lock and a magnetic lock, which is also known as a magnetic composite lock. To open this type of lock, it's first necessary to disrupt the lock's magnetic properties, then use specialized techniques to open it.
