One, Installation position and spacing of sliding door hinges for aluminum alloy doors.
Hinges, also known as pivots, are mechanical devices installed on doors and windows to connect two solid pieces and allow them to rotate relative to each other. Hinges are commonly installed on sliding doors to control the opening and closing of the door. Where should hinges be installed on sliding doors, and what is the appropriate spacing?
1、Installation location for pivot hinges of plastic steel sliding doors
For installing plastic steel sliding doors, two hinges are usually sufficient. For heavier door leaves, three hinges can be used. When installing hinges, there are two main options: one is to install the hinges with the middle hinge facing up, and the other is to distribute the hinges evenly. Note that hinges should not be installed at the joints of the door and window leaf, and a three-even distribution should be avoided.
2、The spacing between the hinges of the sliding door of the steel profile.
When installing hinges on a flat door, it is also necessary to consider the spacing between the hinges. Generally, the larger the spacing between the hinges, the greater the load-bearing capacity. However, the spacing should not be too large, as this can affect the appearance. Additionally, it is important to ensure that the gap between the hinges and the door panel is properly maintained, otherwise the appearance may be compromised.

II. How to install hinges for sliding sash doors.
If the hinges of a sliding door are damaged or need to be replaced, we can install them ourselves. The installation method for hinges on sliding doors made of PVC is:
1. Prepare the necessary tools.
Includes measuring tape, marking pencils, hole saws, and screw drivers for installation and fixing.
2、Marking and positioning
Use a measuring board or carpenter's pencil to mark and position the holes; the hole allowance should be approximately 5mm. Then, use a power drill or a wood-working drill bit to drill 35mm diameter holes for hinges on the door panel, with a drilling depth of approximately 12mm.
3、Secure the hinges
Install the hinges into the hinge holes on the door panel and secure them with self-tapping screws. After inserting the hinges into the door panel, open them and then insert and align the side panel. Secure the base with self-tapping screws.
4、Testing and Verification Results
Open and close the door several times to check its operation, ensuring it opens and closes smoothly without any unusual noises or issues. If everything functions correctly, proceed.
Three. important installation considerations for aluminum alloy sliding door hinges
1、For the installation surface of steel door hinges, painting or another finishing treatment is required after installation. If the surface needs to be removed or tapped during installation, arrangements must be made for its removal, storage, and restoration.
2、The hinges for steel doors must be installed after the surface finish has been applied.
3. Do not weld on hollow metal door frames and door stiles.
