One, Aluminum Alloy Door Installation Process
1、Marking and positioning
According to the design drawings, measure the door frame dimensions and position from the door centerline towards both sides, based on the door's installation location, dimensions, and elevation.
2、Corrosion protection treatment
When corrosion protection is required for the exterior surfaces of door frames, follow the design specifications. If no specific requirements exist, you can apply a corrosion-resistant coating or adhere a plastic film to protect the aluminum alloy door surface from direct contact with cement mortar, which could cause corrosion.
3、Install aluminum alloy door
based on the marked door position lines, install the aluminum alloy door frame. Ensure that the door frame is level, plumb, and has the correct diagonal lengths, conforming to quality standards, and then temporarily secure it with wooden wedges.
4、Fixing aluminum alloy doors
When steel components are pre-embedded in the wall, the steel legs of the aluminum alloy door can be directly welded to the pre-embedded steel components on the wall, and rust prevention treatment is required at the welded points. If there are no pre-embedded steel components on the wall, the steel legs of the aluminum alloy door can be fixed to the wall using metal expansion bolts or plastic expansion bolts.
5、Treatment of gaps between door frames and wall surfaces.
According to the design requirements, fill the gaps between the door and window frames and the wall using putty powder. If no specific requirements exist, elastic insulation materials or glass wool felt strips can be used to fill the gaps. Maintain a 5-8mm deep groove on the outer surface for filling with sealant or adhesive.
Two. important installation considerations for aluminum alloy doors and windows
1、The dimensions and quantities of the door and window frame profiles comply with national standards. Specifically, the outer frame wall thickness of aluminum alloy profiles shall not be less than 2.4mm, and the thickness of PVC-steel window profiles shall not be less than 2.5mm.
2. Inspect the appearance of the plastic profiles. Qualified profiles should be light blue or ivory white, clean, and smooth. High-quality profiles should also have a protective film.
3、The connection points of aluminum door and window components should be strong, and ideally, the components should be made of corrosion-resistant filling materials to ensure a more airtight and waterproof connection.
4. Select profile cross-section based on door and window opening dimensions and installation height. For swing windows, the minimum size should be 55 series. For sliding windows, the minimum size should be 75 series.

6. Install according to the specified regulations to ensure firm and stable installation.
Three.Measures to prevent water leakage in aluminum alloy doors and windows.
1. When installing aluminum windows, avoid water accumulation. The window sill should be constructed with fine concrete (100mm thick) and anchored into the walls for one brick length on both sides, with a slope designed to shed water (controlled between 10-20mm), to prevent water from infiltrating from under the window sill and door.
2. Fill the gaps between the door and window frames and the wall with elastic material, ensuring a dense filling. Before filling, thoroughly clean the gaps of any debris. Use a wire hook to remove loose particles, and then use a blower to remove dust. Also, check the size of the gaps.
3. Drainage holes must be opened in the under-window sill and the sliding track of sliding windows, with a spacing of 600mm. After installation, check for any blockage of the drainage holes to ensure that the water accumulated in the channel can be smoothly discharged.
4、During the civil construction phase, any area coated with putty powder must be cleaned and wetted with water to prevent air pockets.
5. Finally, consolidate the slurry and ensure that the opening has a "eagle's beak" or drip groove at the top.
