One, what are the automatic door technologies?

An automatic door is a system that opens and closes a door using signals and external power to control the door leaf, allowing people to pass through. Its use relies on various automatic door technologies. The main technologies used in automatic doors include:

1、Electrical control technology

When automatic doors were first invented, they used oil pressure and compressed air for speed control, resulting in very low energy efficiency. It wasn't until the maturity of electrical control technology that electrically controlled automatic doors gradually became the mainstream.

2、Intelligent sensing technology

Automatic doors operate by sensors detecting signals and transmitting them to the main controller, which then activates the motor to control the door. This requires the use of intelligent sensing technologies, such as infrared sensing, microwave sensing, touch sensing, pedal sensing, and card sensing.

3、Centralized Control Technology

This includes centralized monitoring of the running status of automatic doors and centralized operation of multiple automatic doors. The former is achieved through a position signal output circuit, which can utilize contact switches. When the door reaches a certain position, the switch is triggered, generating a contact signal. Centralized operation typically refers to simultaneously opening or locking multiple automatic doors.

II. Performance Requirements for Automatic Doors

Automatic doors require a variety of performance characteristics, including resistance to wind loads, airtightness, sound insulation, thermal insulation, resistance to impact from soft, heavy objects, and durability for repeated opening and closing. The specific performance requirements are:

1、Wind resistance performance

Includes both static and dynamic wind pressure resistance, categorized into different levels. Static wind pressure resistance is divided into 4 levels: Level 1 is 0.5 ≤ P3 < 1.0 (unit: kPa), and Level 4 is P3 ≥ 2.0; Dynamic wind pressure resistance is divided into 8 levels, with Level 8 being able to withstand pressures from wind speeds exceeding 40 m/s.

2、Air tightness performance

The airtightness of automatic doors is graded into 4 levels based on the air permeability measured in terms of unit opening length (q1) and unit area (q2). The requirements are: q1 shall not exceed 4.5 m³/ (m*h), and q2 shall not exceed 13.54.5 m³/ (㎡*h).

3、Airborne sound insulation performance

based on the sum of sound reduction index and traffic noise spectrum correction index, the grade is classified as follows: Grade 1 is not less than 15 dB, and Grade 4 is greater than 30 dB.

4、Thermal insulation performance

1st-class automatic door insulation performance: K≥5.0W/(m²*K), 5th-class <3.0W/(m²*K).

5、Resistance to impact from heavy objects

The grading standard is based on the allowable drop height for lightweight objects. Level 1 can withstand a drop height of 100mm, while Level 6 can withstand a drop height of 950mm.

6、Durability performance of repeated opening and closing

Available in two grades: 500,000 cycles and 1,000,000 cycles.
