As the name suggests, "zero-coat" doors do not require additional painting. Currently, most "zero-coat" doors on the market are PVC-laminated doors. These doors are made by applying a PVC laminate to the exterior of solid wood composite doors or molded doors using vacuum injection molding. The door frame also undergoes PVC lamination. Another type of "zero-coat" door is a finished wooden door that has already been painted in the factory.
II. Identifying the Pros and Cons of Zero-VOC Door Materials

1. Currently, composite solid wood doors with PVC wood veneer are the main product, manufactured using large vacuum injection machines for one-time injection molding. The finished product has a smooth surface feel, soft color, and also possesses properties such as insulation, impact resistance, and fire retardancy.
2、Door core panels are typically made of medium-density fiberboard, with surfaces covered in various high-quality imported PVC wood-grain papers or solid hardwood panels. These products offer long-term stability, resistance to deformation and cracking, and a natural and elegant appearance similar to solid wood, with a wide range of material and style options, making them mid-to-high-end products.
3. The door core of composite solid wood doors is made by bonding dried cedar wood and imported eco-friendly filling materials, with a density board applied to the exterior. The facing material is made from two types: solid wood and PVC wood-grain paper. After high-temperature hot pressing for 8-12 hours using a large-scale door press, solid wood lines are applied to seal the edges. Due to the low density, light weight, and easy control of moisture content (maintained between 15-18%) of cedar wood, the finished doors are resistant to deformation and cracking, and offer good sound insulation.
