The installation method for soundproof windows requires high technical skills from construction personnel. Improper installation can result in suboptimal soundproofing performance. Therefore, soundproof windows, particularly those made of PVC, are typically installed by qualified professionals who determine the optimal location and installation style based on the specific site conditions. once the installation location and style are determined, qualified personnel proceed with the installation according to the pre-defined specifications.

II. Installation and Acceptance Specifications for Aluminum Composite Profile Windows

1、Installation Specifications

① Before installing the soundproof PVC windows, it is necessary to measure the indoor noise level. It is best to measure during the noisiest time of day, and then design an appropriate installation plan for the soundproof PVC windows based on the actual noise level and type.

② Due to the custom nature of the project, it is essential to accurately measure the actual dimensions of the window to ensure proper installation and maintain a tight seal.

③ Install the custom-made windows in the window sill, then secure them using dowels or adhesive. In some cases, it may be necessary to remove the old windows.

2、Acceptance criteria

① For soundproof windows: Ensure that all operating components (hinged, sliding, or rotating) are securely closed.

② Inspect Sealing Quality: When the door or window is partially closed, there should be no obvious gaps between the sash and the frame. The sealing strips on the sealing surface should be in a compressed state.

③ Inspect the glass sealant: The sealant should make a smooth and even contact with the glass and the glass channel, without any curling or detachment.

④ Inspect Hardware: Ensure all hardware is present, installed correctly, securely fastened, and functions as intended.

⑤ Inspect the window surface: The window frame should be clean, smooth, and free of scratches, dents, and defects. The profile should be intact with no cracks or breaks.

⑥ Check for Proper Sealing: The sealing strip must be completely adhered to the glass, and there should be no noticeable gaps between the sealing strip and the profile. The joint gap should be no more than 1 millimeter.

⑦ Inspect the frame material: The frame material should be securely connected to the window frame and sealed with sealant. It should not be disturbed. The spacing between screws should be ≤600mm. The two ends of the inner-lining reinforced steel should be firmly fixed to the opening.

⑧ Inspect the connection between the frame and the wall: The frame should be level and plumb, with the spacing between the fixing parts not exceeding 600mm. The frame should be firmly connected to the wall, and any gaps should be filled with elastic material to ensure a complete seal. The surface should be sealed with putty to prevent cracks.

⑨ Inspect Glass: The glass should be smooth, securely installed, and free from any movement. Single-pane glass should not directly contact the profile. The outer surfaces of double-pane glass should be clean, and the space between the panes should be free of dust and moisture. The spacer should not be lifted.

⑩ Check for Drainage Holes: Drainage holes must be in the correct location and free of obstructions.
