One, Ordinary Hinges
A standard hinge, also known as a pivot, consists of movable components or foldable materials. Its key feature is to provide cushioning when the door is closed, thereby minimizing noise generated from collisions between the door and the door frame.
A disadvantage of standard hinges is that they do not have spring hinges, and after installing the hinges, various buffers must be added to prevent the door from being blown open by the wind.
Two. Cigarette Holder Hinges

A "hinge" also known as a "pivot hinge", consists of a hinge cup, hinge base, and hinge arm. The hinge cup typically has a diameter of 35mm and a depth of 11.5-14mm. The hinge base is typically fixed to the cabinet top, with four screws for adjusting the door panel's position, including vertical, horizontal, and lateral adjustments.
The hinges on the folding door allow for precise control over its opening and closing, enabling adjustment of both vertical and horizontal dimensions, as well as the angle of opening.
III. Hinge
Hinges, particularly those designed for interior doors, are often referred to as "mother-and-son hinges." This descriptive term arises from the hinges' unique construction, which consists of two separate pieces that fit together like a parent and child, creating a visually distinct and easily recognizable design.
The hinges are centrally located, suitable for both inset and over-the-frame installations, and do not require the slotting operation that is necessary for traditional hinges (like swing hinges). The gap between the frame and the door is appropriately sized, maintaining the overall aesthetic appearance. Installation is quick and convenient.
IV. Hydraulic Hinges
Hydraulic hinges, also known as spring-loaded hydraulic buffer hinges, are a common type of hinge with automatic closing functionality that is widely available in the market. They were among the earliest automatic closing hinges to replace traditional closing mechanisms.
Hydraulic hinges offer advantages such as easy installation, adjustable closing speed, and good closing buffer effects when used on folding doors. However, hydraulic hinges are relatively expensive and have a larger size, which limits their use as hinges for folding doors in kitchens and bathrooms.
