One、Fireproof windows must have closers installed?
According to the new standards for sliding fire-resistant doors, sliding fire-resistant doors require the installation of closers.
1、Clause 3.5 of GB 16809-2008 "Fire-resistant Windows" regarding the control device for window sash opening and closing.
In active fire-resistant windows, the device controlling the opening and closing of the window sash should have manual control functionality for sash operation and at least one of the following: a fusible alloy component or a heat-sensitive element (such as a glass ball) that automatically controls the sash closure. Note: The sash opening and closing control can also include electric control methods, such as: electric signal control of electromagnetic switches to open or close, electric signal control of motors to open or close, or electric signal control of pneumatic actuators to open or close.
2. All terms and conditions of GB 93-2004, "Fire-resistant Door Closers" are applicable.
Its design, development, and testing are primarily based on the national standard GB 16809-2008《Fire-resistant Windows》Section 3.5; domestic companies have already achieved successful testing according to relevant national standards in 2010.
II. Installation Method for Fire-Resistant Window Closers
1. Manually activate the active fire door window opening and closing control device on-site. The window sash should operate smoothly and be able to open and close completely without any obstruction.
2、Activate any fire alarm detector on either side of the fire-resistant window, causing it to emit a simulated fire alarm signal. The sliding fire-resistant window should automatically close and transmit the closing signal to the control room.
3. Place the fire alarm control panel or fire alarm control equipment in the fire control room in the manual state. Manually activate the automatic fire-resistant window closing device in the fire control room. Upon receiving the closing command, the automatic fire-resistant window should close automatically, and the closing signal should be fed back to the fire control room.
4. Cut off the power supply to the active fire-resistant window. Activate the temperature control release device, which will heat the thermistor. The active fire-resistant window will automatically close within 60 seconds after the temperature control device is activated.
