One, how to install glass door locks more securely

1. We recommend that experienced installers with lock installation expertise install the locks. If installing yourself, please follow the installation requirements specified in the product instructions, and first drill holes in the template according to the lock body dimensions.

2. Verify that the drilled holes are accurate and correctly positioned. Then, install the lock body into the holes, align it, and secure it with screws. Install the screws and connecting rods on the outer plate components. Insert the connecting rod into the rod hole of the lock body. Align the outer plate component's square hole with the connecting rod hole, and install the outer plate component. Ensure that the installation is performed strictly according to the instructions in the product manual.

3. Install the inner panel components, aligning and tightening the fasteners; insert the latch body from the inside into the latch lock hole; and tighten the screws after inserting them into the latch body mounting hole and aligning with the screw threads. Then, install the latch box or latch plate on the door frame.

4. After initial installation, rotate the inner and outer handles of the crescent lock to observe whether the crescent can be smoothly retracted and extended; rotate the rear panel knob to feel whether the tongue can be smoothly retracted and extended; insert the key and rotate it back and forth to feel whether the tongue can be smoothly extended and retracted.

5. After tightening the screws for the crescent-shaped lock using a screwdriver, repeat the above steps, rotating several times to ensure that the locking mechanism can move freely after the screws are fixed.

Remove one of the internal screws with a wrench, then drill through the screw hole with a drill. Secure the wrench with an M4 bolt and a flange nut. This will reinforce the door lock. Furthermore, using a flange nut does not significantly affect the aesthetics, is cost-effective, and most importantly, enhances the lock's security and extends its lifespan.
