Two. Installation method for glass door hinges
1、Unwinding and positioning
Combine fixed and movable glass doors to create a complete glass door, then, according to the design and construction drawings, perform unified marking and positioning, and determine the door frame location.
2、Install the limit slots at the top of the door frame.
Glass thickness: 2-4 mm, with a recess depth of 10-12 mm.
3、Install metal veneer wood base.
First, secure the wooden frame to the ground. Then, use a universal adhesive to attach the metal panel to the wooden frame.
4、Vertical door frame installation
Use center line nails to erect the door frame, and use plywood to define the position of the door frame posts. Finally, apply a metal decorative finish.
5、Install glass
Utilize a glass suction cup machine to firmly grip the thick glass, then lift and move it to the desired installation location. The steps are as follows: first, insert the upper portion of the glass into the top limit slot of the door frame, and then insert the lower portion of the glass into the opening of the bottom support.
6、Securing the glass
Attach two small square wooden strips inside and outside the base wooden frame, place the thick glass in the middle, and then apply universal adhesive on the wooden strips. Simultaneously, attach the decorative metal to the wooden strips.
7. Inject sealant for sealing.
Apply sealant to all gaps, such as the top edge, the sides of the bottom sill, and the interface between the glass and the frame and columns, to create a sealed edge. Remove any excess sealant with a tool.
8、Glass joint
Sometimes, glass doors need to be joined due to size requirements. In such cases, the joint should have a width of 2-3 millimeters, and the edges of the glass panels should be beveled.
9、Install resilient flooring.
After the ground spring and door frame top surface positioning pins are installed, they must be aligned on the same axis.
10、Installation of door closers
Install upper and lower metal door hinges on both ends of the glass door. Insert small wooden strips into the gaps between the glass and the door hinges, and then apply glass adhesive.
11、Handle Installation
First, apply adhesive to the part of the handle that contacts the glass, then insert the handle. once the base of the handle is firmly attached to the glass, secure it with screws.
