Installing sliding bolts is slightly more complex than installing pivoting bolts. It requires first removing the outer panel of the sliding bolt, followed by measuring the diameter, horizontal position, and depth to determine the correct location. once the location is confirmed, the bolts are secured with screws.
II. Installation Steps for Hinged Door Latches
Step 1: Measure the data
Whether it's a single-opening door, a double-opening door, or a clamshell door, you must first measure the data when installing the lock. If there are any discrepancies in the measurements, the lock installation will fail. Therefore, when measuring, you must be very careful to ensure that the collected data is accurate.
Step 2: Plan the work
once the measurements are taken, we can proceed with planning. based on individual height and usage habits, we can determine the appropriate installation height for the door hinges and mark the locations accordingly.
Step 3: Install the sub-door
First, install the door hinges on the sub-door. The installation process is simple: align the hinges with the markings and then install the smaller locking mechanism.
Step 4: Install the main door.
After installing the child door, we installed the door hinges on the main door using the same method. After installation, we closed the door and checked to ensure that the height of the hinges on both sides is consistent, and that the hinges are functioning properly.
Step 5: Install the lock.
Attach the door hinges, then pass the shackle of the mortise lock through the holes in the hinges, and finally attach the mortise lock. The door is now locked.
