One. How to disassemble a "Hand Lock"
The "Hand Lock" type lock is relatively easy to remove. To remove it, first, use a screwdriver to loosen and remove the screws securing the lock panel. Next, loosen and remove the screws holding the locking mechanism, and finally, loosen and remove the screws securing the lock body itself, allowing you to pull it out.
Two. Method for replacing the hand-crank lock.
1、Cut out the installation diagram attached to the door at the appropriate height (approximately 1 meter from the ground).
2. Adjust the angle of the hinges to align with the opening and closing direction of the door. Then, insert the lock body into the lock hole and secure it with self-tapping screws.
3. Insert the latch into the pre-drilled slot, secure the latch with screws, and insert the square profile into the square holes of the latch. Then, insert the front and back panels into the square holes of the square profile, and tighten the two screws on the inner panel (do not fully tighten yet). Insert the latch from inside the door through the latch hole, and secure the latch with screws to the latch. Finally, tighten the two screws on the inner panel.
4. Drill out the mortise for the lock box and strike plate, install the lock box and strike plate, and secure them with self-tapping screws. Ensure that the lock tongue can move freely.
