How to install a smart lock on a single-piece door lock?
(1) Before installation, please pay attention to the following points:
1、The door opening directions are left inward opening, right inward opening, left outward opening, and right outward opening. Note that the door opening direction directly affects the direction of the door handle and the latch.
2、Verify that the side panel dimensions are appropriate. The national standard side panel dimensions are 24*240mm. If they are not suitable, please contact the manufacturer to customize the side panels according to the door size.
3. Verify whether there are any air vents above the door. Method: Feel the edge of the door frame for any lock holes. In the open position, check if the lock tongue pops out from the edge of the door frame.
(II) Installation Demonstration
1. First, adjust the door handle: Rotate the inner screws of the door handle to adjust the direction of the handle according to whether the door opens to the left or right (if the door opens to the left, the handle tail should point left; if the door opens to the right, the handle tail should point right). Press down on the handle, and it should move smoothly, indicating successful adjustment.
2. According to the instructions, adjust the direction of the clutch axis of the smart lock. First, loosen the screws securing the clutch cover, remove the clutch cover and spring, and adjust the direction of the clutch axis pointer so that it aligns with the direction of the door handle (when the handle's tail is facing left, the clutch axis pointer points to the left, or vice versa, points to the right). Then, insert the spring to fix the clutch axis in the same direction.
3. Then, reattach the clutch cover and tighten the screws.
4. Adjust the angle of the soft lock tongue according to the opening direction (if the door opens inward, the angle should face outward; if the door opens outward, the angle should face inward) using a flathead screwdriver to insert it into the hole at the end of the soft lock tongue, ensuring that the entire soft lock tongue protrudes outward from the side plate. Rotate 180 degrees to align the direction of the soft lock tongue with the direction of the door. Insert the lock body and tighten the screws.
5. Attach the 4 screws connecting the front panel, insert the outer shaft and spring, and run the wire. Then, install the front panel onto the door. Operate the handle by lifting and pressing, and test the door handle to ensure it functions properly.
6. Install the rear panel, securing it to the lower portion of the front panel with three screws.
7. Insert the rear locking pin and the locking pin, insert the spring, connect the connecting line to the connecting port, and then adjust the rear locking switch on the rear panel. The locking tongue should pop out when the switch is set to "close", and set the switch to "open" when it is set to "open". Finally, install the rear panel on the door.
8. After tightening the screws on the top of the rear panel, align and tighten the two small screws on the bottom of the rear panel.
9. After inserting the battery, close the battery cover. once the fingerprint, password, and magnetic card information is set in the smart lock, it can be used normally.
