The Ministry of Public Security stipulates that all locks must be equipped with a mechanical lock to prevent situations where the lock loses power or malfunctions. Therefore, any lock has a locking mechanism, and the fingerprint lock can also have a replacement locking mechanism. However, it is recommended to have a professional replace the locking mechanism of the fingerprint lock.
Three. How to replace the lock cylinder of the padlock.
1、Remove the existing lock mechanism.
① First, use a Phillips head screwdriver to remove the two mounting screws from the interior door handle.
② Remove both the interior and exterior handles, and organize all associated components to prevent loss.
③ Use a screwdriver to unscrew the locking mechanism cover screws and remove the cover. Some anti-theft door locks do not have a locking mechanism cover.
④ Use a cross-head screwdriver to loosen the screws securing the locking mechanism in the center of the lock body. The locking mechanism screws are typically located on the center line of the side of the lock body and are parallel to the bottom of the keyhole.
⑤ Insert the key and gently rotate it to remove the lock cylinder. Keep the key on the cylinder for easy identification between indoor and outdoor locks. Before removal, ensure that all locking mechanisms are retracted.
2、Confirm the dimensions of the smart lock.
① Compare the lock mechanism to ensure the dimensions match.
② After confirming that the dimensions of the smart lock finger lock core are consistent with the old core (with a tolerance of 3mm), perform a comparison of the width of the lock core movement. Installation can only proceed if the dimensions are consistent.
③ Ensure the existing lock core dimensions are appropriate before comparison.
3、Install the cloud-enabled fingerprint lock.
① Install and secure the existing handle panel.
② Then, install the Yun smart lock fingerprint lock core from the inner side of the door to the outer side.
③ After fixing the lock mechanism, tighten the lock mechanism fixing screws.
④ Then, rotate the internal locking knob to perform locking and unlocking tests.
⑤ Ensure that the locking mechanism can successfully extend and retract, then install the external knob.
⑥ When installing the outer knob, align the protruding key with the corresponding recess. Insert the outer knob, which includes fingerprint and password scanning functionality, from the outside into the keyway.
⑦ Rotate the triangular marking on the inner knob to the top position, and the battery compartment adjustment hole to the bottom position. Keep the outer knob stationary, then use a flathead screwdriver to turn the adjustment bolt counterclockwise through the two adjustment holes to securely fix the outer knob.
⑧ Use a screwdriver to remove the battery cover. Then, install four AA batteries, followed by tightening the battery cover.
⑨ Finally, apply the outer cover and the installation is complete.
