One. Mechanical Password Lock Opening Method
Safeguard locks (also known as safes or security locks) typically refer to combination locks. These locks do not require keys; instead, users must memorize a combination and then turn a series of numbers according to a specific procedure to open the lock. Therefore, they are also referred to as "combination locks" or "padlocks." Combination locks come in various designs and complexities, and the operating methods differ accordingly.
Early number combination locks (also known as letter locks) were limited to toggle lock types and were very simple, offering no real security as they could be easily opened by feel. Even today, some simple number locks can still be found, such as those used on toggle locks, padlocks, backpacks, and travel bags, which can also be opened by feel.
Until modern mechanical locks were manufactured, they provided security. The number locks on safes control the key to opening them. Common number locks have three sets of numbers, with each set consisting of two digits.
Three sets of internal rotating discs (blades) are present, with each disc having a notch. By operating the number discs (scale discs) in a specific manner, the three sets of numbers are aligned with the marked lines on the outer circumference of the discs.
The rotating mechanism drives three discs to rotate, which aligns the notches on the three discs in a straight line. This allows the connecting beam to fall into the notches of the three discs, opening the door (with the numbered locking wheel, the beam must first enter the notches of the discs to allow the hook on the beam to engage with the notches of the driving cam (disc), retracting the latch and unlocking).
Two. How to open the mechanical password lock on a safe.
The most common methods for opening mechanical safes in China are as follows:
Mechanical combination locks (three sets of digital locks) assume that the three sets of digital codes are (21), (56), and (33):
1、 Regardless of which digital scale the marking line is aligned to, rotate the scale clockwise by two turns before continuing to rotate it until (21) aligns with the markings on the fixed plate, then stop.
2、Rotate the (56) component clockwise one full turn, then continue rotating to align it with the marked line above;
3. Rotate the (33) component clockwise until it aligns with the marked stop line, at which point the lock will be fully engaged.
once the three digital locks are set, do not manipulate the locks further. Then, insert the key into the lock hole and turn it clockwise to open the lock. Pull the handle outwards to open the cabinet door.
