Causes of mold growth on computer desks and methods for treatment
1、The room has excessive humidity, which promotes the growth of bacteria and leads to frequent mold growth. Please ensure frequent ventilation by opening windows. Do not use humidifiers indoors. After cleaning, be sure to open windows or use fans and air conditioners to quickly dry the surfaces.
2、The quality of the computer desk is poor. The quality of the product has nothing to do with the price; expensive products do not necessarily mean they are of high quality. The reason for the mold is due to insufficient coats of paint, and poor-quality paint also leads to mold growth. To clean, use a cloth to apply Vaseline, then wipe with a clean cloth.
3、When cleaning the surface of a wooden computer desk, avoid using wet cloths. Use a feather duster, dry cloth, or a specialized cleaning agent.
4. Place a cardboard box filled with quicklime in a discreet location at home. This will absorb moisture and disinfect, providing a dual benefit.

6. To remove mold from computer desks, mix alcohol with water and wipe clean. Green mold belongs to the multicellular fungi, with colorless, pale, or vividly colored hyphae. The hyphae have cross-walls, and the sporangiophore also has cross-walls. They are smooth or rough. The base does not have foot cells, and the apex does not form a bulbous apex. The sporangiophore branches multiple times, forming several symmetrical or asymmetrical small stalks, resembling a broom, called broom-like structures. The sporangia are spherical, elliptical, or short columnar, smooth or rough, and most of them are blue-green during growth.
7. If the computer desk repeatedly develops mold, and it reappears after being wiped clean, it is recommended to replace the desk with a new one. Suitable materials include steel, iron, acrylic, and plastic composite materials that are resistant to mold.
